This Agreement is made between Canine Sense Ltd, represented by Flurina Stocker (the “Trainer”), and the Owner of the Dog described at the time of booking.
Definitions
‘Owner’: The individual or entity who has legal ownership of the Dog and who enters into this Agreement with Canine Sense Ltd. This includes representatives, agents, or family members acting on behalf of the Owner.
1. Responsibilities and Liability
The Trainer will use best judgment and exercise professional care in the training of the Owner’s Dog.
Due to the unpredictable nature of dogs, the Owner remains responsible for the welfare, supervision, and control of their Dog at all times during training sessions, whether indoors or outdoors, on or off lead.
The Owner acknowledges that their Dog’s behaviour remains the responsibility of the Owner. If the Dog causes injury, damage, or loss to any person, property, or animal, the Owner agrees to assume full liability.
The Owner agrees to release and hold harmless the Trainer and Canine Sense Ltd from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the behaviour of the Owner’s Dog.
2. Owner Participation and Training Commitment
The Trainer agrees to provide the highest quality of training in a positive and professional manner at all times, prioritising the interests of the Dog. The Trainer will not be held responsible for any perception by the Owner of having been given wrongful or inappropriate information or advice.
The Owner recognises the integral role they play in their Dog’s training process and acknowledges that there are no guarantees that their Dog will achieve the desired level of training, despite the Trainer’s best efforts.
3. Non-Refundable Services
Fees paid for City Paws and Pack Walks are non-refundable.
4. Package Services
Training packages are sold as a complete programme and are non-refundable once the first session has commenced.
All sessions included in a package must be used within 12 months of the date of purchase, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Sessions not used within this time period will expire and cannot be refunded, transferred, or credited.
Packages are intended for use by the Dog and Owner named at the time of booking and cannot be transferred.
Nothing in this Agreement is intended to affect the Owner’s statutory rights under applicable law.
5. Pack Walk & City Paws Participation
Dogs must wear a secure collar or harness and lead suitable for safe handling.
The Owner is responsible for ensuring equipment is safe and properly fitted.
The Owner acknowledges that group dog activities involve inherent risks and that incidents between dogs cannot be entirely eliminated.
6. Cancellation Policy
If the Owner is unable to attend a scheduled appointment, 48 hours’ notice must be given.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
7. Late Arrival
If the Owner arrives late, the session will still end at the scheduled time and the full session fee will apply.
8. Payment Terms
Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
Accepted payment methods include credit card, debit card, and other payment options available through Stripe, which may include services such as Klarna or Revolut.
Cash payments may also be accepted by prior arrangement.
If the Owner chooses to use a third-party instalment service, the Owner remains responsible for the full payment due to Canine Sense Ltd.
In the event of a chargeback or disputed payment, Canine Sense Ltd reserves the right to suspend training services until the matter has been resolved.
9. Health and Safety
The Owner must inform the Trainer of any illness, injury, medical condition, or behavioural concern affecting the Dog.
The Trainer may refuse or stop training if continuing would be unsafe.
Dogs must remain on lead unless otherwise instructed.
10. Behavioural Disclosure
The Owner agrees to disclose any known history of aggression, biting, or reactivity before training sessions.
Failure to disclose such information may result in termination of services without refund.
11. Veterinary Emergency
If the Dog becomes ill or injured during a session and the Owner cannot be contacted, the Owner authorises the Trainer to seek veterinary care if necessary.
Any veterinary costs remain the responsibility of the Owner.
12. Training Equipment
The Trainer may recommend or use specific training equipment.
The Owner is responsible for ensuring equipment is properly maintained and fitted.
13. Use of Media
Photos or videos of the Owner and/or Dog may be taken during training for educational or promotional purposes.
By agreeing to this contract, the Owner consents to their use on social media, marketing materials, or the company website.
14. Confidentiality
Training methods and materials provided by the Trainer are confidential and must not be shared with third parties without permission.
15. Insurance
Canine Sense Ltd maintains public liability insurance covering incidents involving third parties.
16. Force Majeure
The Trainer is not responsible for cancellations or delays due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including illness, severe weather, accidents, or government restrictions.
Sessions may be rescheduled where possible.
17. Dispute Resolution
Both parties agree to attempt resolution through good faith discussion or mediation before pursuing legal action.
18. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
19. Severability
If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
20. Entire Agreement
This Agreement represents the entire understanding between the parties.
